If you have completed a beginning sign course at CDHH or elsewhere, this class is for you. You will develop vocabulary and basic conversation skills, and learn more about how to interact with Deaf adults.

 

Cost is $85 per student. The book, Learning American Sign Langauge is recommended and is available at CDHH for $54 (Same book as used in ASL I).  REGISTER ONLINE.

This sign language class is for parents, grandparents, relatives, neighbors, babysitters and any adult who needs to communicate in sign language with a young child. The focus is on vocabulary and basic sign language communication used in the day-to-day lives of deaf and hard of hearing infants/toddlers and their families. Your instructor, Tricia Condon, is deaf and has extensive experience working with deaf and hard of hearing children as the Program Assistant for the Kellogg Child & Family Program at CDHH.

 Is your child, ages 4 through 10 interested in learning American Sign Language?  Sign up now for the CDHH Mom (or Dad) & Me Sign Class.  During this 6-week class, taught by CDHH Toddler Communication Group Assistant Tricia Condon, you and your child will learn some basic sign language through a variety of fun activities sure to keep your child interested and engaged. No textbook required!  Class sizes are kept small to ensure lots of interaction, so early registration is recommended.  Class fee is $30 for one parent/child team and $10 for each additional child.

Learn how to communicate with your baby before they are able to speak!  Classes will be held at the Center, on Tuesdays, June 24 through July 29 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM.  This class is specifically designed for parents with hearing children.  The book, Baby Sign Language Basics will be used and can be purchsed with class registration at a discounted price. Class fee is 25 dollars for one parent/child team and 10 dollars for each additional adult or child.
