• Child & Family
Services
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, have fun, and grow into a healthy, successful adult. Children with hearing loss who do not receive early intervention services have a higher risk of developing learning disabilities, poor social skills and behavioral problems that can last a lifetime. That is why the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is committed to providing quality early intervention services and parent education and youth enrichment programs for those with hearing loss and their families.
The Kellogg Child and Family Program uses a family-centered approach, recognizing the importance of working with both children and their parents, tailoring services to meet individual goals.
• Adult Services
Because hearing loss affects individuals in different ways, both physically and emotionally, each adult may have unique needs and goals when it comes to treatment and support. At the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, adults will find a wide range of services to help them overcome communication barriers, succeed in the workplace, maintain their independence and achieve their personal goals.
And, since hearing loss not only affects those with the loss, but friends and family as well, CDHH also offers programs that help family members, friends and professionals to better understand hearing loss and learn new ways to communicate effectively.
