Aural Rehabilitation
Aural Rehabilitation services are provided by a Speech-Language pathologist, with treatment plans tailored to your individual needs and communication goals. Aural rehabilitation helps individuals adjust to life with hearing loss and can include a variety of therapies and services to help you live better with hearing loss. Speechreading and Communication Strategies Classes
Small group speechreading and communication strategies classes are offered for anyone who is hard of hearing as well as their friends or family members who would like to learn more about communicating effectively. Pre-and Post-Cochlear Implant Training
At CDHH, you’ll receive objective information that can help you reach a decision on whether or not to have an implant. A CDHH speech-language pathologist will provide a communication assessment and information for developing realistic expectations about what a cochlear implant can do for you. Post-implant treatment is tailored to help you reach your specific communication goals. To learn more, contact the Director of Programs.
Community Rehabilitation Program
The Community Rehabilitation Program addresses the special needs of adults with developmental disabilities who also have hearing loss and helps these individuals improve their independent living skills, communication skills and social skills through small group activities and field trips within the community.
