Camp Matawa Scholarships Available
CDHH has two scholarships available to YMCA Camp Matawa, located 45 minutes from
Milwaukee in the
Kettle
Moraine
State
Forest. Children with hearing loss ages 7 to 14, or their siblings are eligible for this one-week adventure which includes hikes, games and sports. To apply, please email dkerr@cdhh.org indicating the names and ages of children you would like to have considered for the scholarships as well as any accommodations they would require. Forum on Postsecondary Options for Students with Disabilities
The Midwest Alliance is hosting a student and parent forum about planning for postsecondary education on May 9th from 3:30 - 5:30 pm in Madison, Wisconsin. The forum will bring together a panel of administrators, counselors, parents and students to talk about postsecondary choices for students with disabilities. Topics will include college entrance, self-advocacy skills, financial aid, as well as how to find and receive special accommodations. High school students with disabilities and their parents from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa are encouraged to attend this free and public event. The event is free and open to the public.

UniversaLink Offers Home Visits
Thanks to a recent grant from the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, UniversaLink is now able to offer in-home assistive technology consultations and installation assistance free of charge to low-income residents of SE Wisconsin. Home visits are critical for those who have severe mobility impairments, transportation issues or other challenges that make it hard for them to visit the UniversaLink showroom in person or to set up the equipment that they select once they get home. Enter the Tasting Tuesday Homebrew Competition
Calling all Homebrewers!
As part of this year's Tasting Tuesday fundrasier, taking place at the Milwaukee Ale House on August 19, CDHH is sponsoring a homebrew contest for amateur brewmasters. Beers will be juged in one of three categories, American Ale, Stout and Inda Pale Ale (IPA), plus a Best of Show, and winners will be determined by a combination of professional and celebrity judges, including Dick Leinenkugel and Kramp and Adler from radio station FM 102.1's morning show.
All entries must be received between 9:00AM and 5:00 PM, Monday, July 14 through Monday, August 11. Actual judging will take place during Tasting Tuesday at the Milwaukee Ale House, 233 N. Water Street, Milwaukee, on August 19.
