WI Telecommunications Equipment Purchase Program
(TEPP)
Individuals of any age and income who are Wisconsin residents
and who have difficulty using basic telephone service due
to hearing loss or a speech or mobility impairment may apply
for TEPP, a program of the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.
TEPP helps to pay for specialized telecommunications equipment
such as amplified phones, visual signalers, speech amplifiers
and voice-activated telephones. UniversaLink is an approved
TEPP vendor.
Department of Workforce Development
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) is
the state agency charged with building and strengthening Wisconsin's
workforce. DWD offers a wide variety of employment programs
and services, accessible at the state's 78 Job Centers, including:
securing jobs for the disabled.
Family Care – Wisconsin
Family Care is a long-term care program being piloted in nine
Wisconsin counties. As a comprehensive and flexible long-term
care service system, Family Care strives to foster people's
independence and quality of life, while recognizing the need
for interdependence and support.
WisLoan Program
The WisLoan program offers low-interest loans for assistive
technology. The loans help people buy equipment such as hearing
aids, modified vehicles, wheelchairs and ramps. The program
is open to Wisconsin residents of all ages who have a disability.
Wisconsin Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
(ODHH)
ODHH is a program within the Wisconsin Department of Health
and Family Services that provides information and referrals,
advocacy and support services to Wisconsin residents who are
deaf or hard of hearing.
Wisconsin Lions Foundation
The Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc. (WLF) is a charitable
non-profit Wisconsin Corporation organized and maintained
by the Lions of Wisconsin. The WLF Hearing Project helps Wisconsin’s
needy individuals who are hard of hearing, cannot afford to
purchase a hearing instrument, and do not qualify for any
existing state-funded financial assistance programs

Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program
Assoc. (TEDPA)
TEDPA is a national membership organization formed to support
programs involved in statewide, or jurisdiction-wide, distribution
of specialized telecommunications equipment for persons with
disabilities. Includes links to financial assistance programs
throughout the US.
Lions Club Foundation
The Lions Club’s Affordable Hearing Aid Project is making
available low-cost, quality hearing aids to people who could
not otherwise afford them. The Lions Affordable Hearing Aid
Project is for low-income people both in developing nations
such as India and developed nations such as the United States.
Starkey
Hearing Foundation “Hear Now” Program
Hear Now is a national non-profit program committed to assisting
deaf and hard-of-hearing persons with limited financial resources
who permanently reside within the United States.
CNI Center for Hearing
CNI's Center for Hearing is committed to helping provide patients
with cochlear implants, BAHA hearing devices and rehabilitation.
